By attending a Instructor Development Workshop (IDW) you may become a NRA Certified Instructor, and you would be able to conduct class(es) in any discipline that you are certified in. These classes can be taught at your club, church, etc. or any location you desire. And whether you do these classes as a volunteer of an organization, or as a business, you will know that you are making a difference in your community by teaching people the safe and proper handling of firearms.
NOTE: ALL IDW's will include Basic Instructor Training (BIT) unless otherwise noted.

NRA PISTOL & PERSONAL PROTECTION IN THE HOME IDW
We will have an Instructor Development Workshop for: Basic Instructor Training, PISTOL and PERSONAL PROTECTION IN THE HOME on TBD. This will be a 3-day IDW. The tentative schedule is: 8am-8pm Friday, 8am-8pm Saturday, and 8am-8pm Sunday
Cost is $500.00 per instructor candidate. This will include the training materials necessary to complete the course.
Deposit of $150.00 is due upon registering. Balance due the 1st day of class. There is a minimum of 4, and a maximum of 12 instructor candidates for this class. If you are interested, Contact us to reserve your spot.

ALL Instructor Candidates must:
- Bring appropriate proof of completed Prerequisites.
- NOT be prohibited from using or possessing firearms and/or ammunition.
- Be willing to work hard to become a Certified Instructor.
- Have a SAFETY minded attitude!
- Be able to demonstrate SAFE gun handling skills at all times.
- Pass Pre-Qualification assessments (to be scheduled BEFORE the IDW).
- Be familiar with all types of handguns (Semi-automatics and Revolvers, Single and Double Action).
- Be comfortable speaking in front of groups.
- Enjoy working with people.
NRA Membership is NOT required to become an NRA Instructor. However, being an NRA member does expedite the process of becoming an instructor, and offers a discount on Instructor Credentialing Fees.

You are paying for the OPPORTUNITY to become a Certified Instructor. Your KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ATTITUDE will be evaluated, and upon successful completion of the IDW, you may be recommended to the NRA for Certification.
