Interested in staying safe?
We can help!
Our classes meet and exceed Michigan's CPL requirements If you decide to carry a concealed pistol for self-defense, prior to applying for a Concealed Pistol License, each person needs to complete a firearms safety course that complies with the Firearms Laws of the State of Michigan. Our classes not only meet these requirements, but exceed them as well. Before you sign up with any instructor, check out their class, then check our classes, and see who gives you a better value.
Check out our (CPL) Concealed Pistol License Class (NRA Course) Concealed Carry Class page for what you can expect from us during your training class. We suggest you contact other instructors about their classes. Once you do, we are certain you will find we offer the most complete training experience. |
Do I really need to carry a pistol? We don't know anyone who WANTS to harm another person. However, there may come a time when an individual is faced with an imminent threat of great bodily harm or death, and may have to defend him or herself.
The Second Amendment to the Constitution, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." (1791), secures an individual right to self-defense. The Michigan Constitution also protects the right of self-defense, "Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state." ( Eff. Jan. 1, 1964.) Whether or not you choose to have a firearm for self-defense, is a decision that only you can make. However it is critical to know the laws of your jurisdiction, as well as the penalties for violating these laws. And of course you will want to practice responsible gun ownership, focusing on SAFETY at ALL TIMES! |
Maybe carrying a pistol is not an option for you. If you choose not to carry a pistol, or if circumstances don't allow carrying a firearm, a Refuse To Be A Victim® Seminar is for you.
Refuse To Be A Victim® is a program that focuses on avoiding dangerous situations before they become a problem. Seminars can be tailored to most groups. Workplace security, personal security, and home security are just some of the topics of discussion. If your workplace, community group, association or club is interested in hosting a Refuse To Be A Victim® seminar, contact us to schedule it at your location or ours. Seminars can be open to the public or limited to your specific group. Just let us know what you want and we will do our best to accomodate it.
